Well played sir. I got to see Explosions in the Sky. In place of what you would have seen (Godspeed).
The excitement is building. I'm very very excited for NIN to start. EITS were great. Atmosphere is awesome.

Is this not the time to tell you that I am seeing them next week in Vegas? In a venue less than half this size.

If that's NIN, then damn you. I'm too broke to see them this time around, I got to see 4-5 concerts before he went on hiatus...
On the other hand, I can proudly say I was one of the ones to get to see him in Chicago, circa maybe 2006-2007ish... Wondered why the tickets disappeared so damn fast... ended up having to buy some on Ebay
Ended up it was at a tiny old opera house in the hispanic sector—with a 2200 person capacity, and it wasn't filled. The best concert ever.
Oh well. Wish I was there. Best stage performance ever. Digital everything.

WAT. EITS and Godspeed, too?
A jelly, I has it.

No. It was sadly an either or. The east coast got Godspeed, the Midwest and west got EITS. But either is a heck of a way to open for NIN

Wow, seriously.
Can the middle coast get both? TX FTW, & etc.

Man I am sad, this is the first NIN tour I have missed since The Fragile Tour, which was my first big arena concert. And I thought I was done seeing Trent tour after he let Janes Addiction headline the last tour. . . I am envious of you Gamecat. . .

Yes, that was NIN. Full review here: http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/nine-inch-nail…
Chicago? Small venue, uh... former Chicagoan now goes to guessing game:
Vic? Riv? I'm not sure. I saw a few (dozen? 40-70-ish) different shows when I lived in Chicago.
Regardless of where, that sounds like it was amazing. My first time seeing NIN was in '94 at an old movie theater on the pre-tour for The Downward Spiral. held about 1200 people and I showed up 8 hours early and got there before the staff, band, anyone, and was front and center for the whole thing.
